Who can use the Dorset Lesbian & Gay Helpline?

Anyone - and you don't have to be gay either! You may be a parent, a friend, or just interested to find out more information, our service is for everyone.

What does the Helpline do?

Our primary function is to offer confidential help and support through our telephone helpline from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.

We have an answering machine facility outside these hours. If for any reason you are unable to speak to a volunteer, please leave a message with contact details and we will respond as soon as possible.

All calls are received in the strictest confidence and information relating to any call may only be shared with other members of the group in order to ensure that should you call again, the volunteer is better able to help you.
