Our primary function is to offer confidential help and support through our telephone helpline which is available on 0845 388 3544, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 7.30pm – 9.30pm
If for any reason you are unable to speak to a volunteer, please leave a message with contact details and we will respond as soon as possible.
We receive hundreds of calls each year from people of many different backgrounds so don’t think you are the only one!
All calls are received in the strictest confidence and information relating to any call may only be shared with other members of the group in order to ensure that should you call again, the volunteer is better able to help you.
It may be that you would prefer to talk to someone face to face. Under clearly defined circumstances we will endeavour to offer support face to face. If this option is suitable for you we will meet you in a neutral but discrete venue. As with our telephone helpline all conversations are confidential. Anything you say to us may only be shared with other members of the helpline, and only then in order to help you should you speak to another member of the group.
Where we arrange to meet you we will always ensure that two group volunteers are available, generally a man and a woman. Under no circumstances will we meet you with only one volunteer. This is for both your and our benefit.
Please bear in mind that all our members are volunteers and it may take time to arrange a suitable meeting.
